Panama City day 2: Panama Viejo and Miraflores Locks
Our second day in Panama City, we got a cab to take us to Panama Viejo,
the original site of Panama City. This was also destroyed by Captain Morgan
in 1671. Modern Panama City was rebuilt in a different (and more defensible)
spot.

From Panama Viejo, our cab took us through lots of traffic across Panama
City and north to Miraflores Locks. This set of locks has a very nice
4 story visitor center with exhibits on how the canal was built and how it
works. We watched from the 4th floor observation deck as a couple of big
cargo ships got lowered in the locks.
